On the Strengths and Weaknesses of Cone Crusher
Cone crusher is widely used as secondary crushing equipment in crushing plant. As saying goes: every coin has two sides. So it is with cone crusher. This article will briefly introduce the advantages and disadvantages of cone crusher.
Firstly, disadvantages:
1. Complex structure, higher price; 2. some wearing parts are not easy to repair; 3. maintenance is more difficult, higher repair cost; 4. Cone crusher is higher, which increases the cost of basic structure; 5. high technical requirements for operation and maintenance.
Secondly, advantages:
1. Running along the annular crushing chamber continuously, which enlarges crushing ratio and production capacity, lowering the power consumption, making the working condition more stable;
2. Discharge opening is not easy to be clog, which makes it suitable for crushing sheet materials; final products have more uniform particle sizes.
3. Materials can be fed from either side of the feed opening, material blocks can be poured directly from the means of transport, without fixing feeder.
Although the cone crusher has its own drawbacks, it does not affect its status of application in crushing plant. Combination of various factors, cone crusher is still the best choice as a secondary crusher.
